Op-Ed: Changing the Army’s Culture of Cultural Change

Dr. Leonard Wong

I have long looked to SSI | Strategic Studies Institute | US Army War College for info on my Latin American studies. While not related this I highly disagree with.
“” To push culture change even further, specific actions are taken to get the masses behind the change. First, individuals are sent off to schools to become “Master” certified in the subject.””

While not stated some of the Cultural Change includes the activities of individual soldiers whose activities in the past would have been considered detrimental to the force. I understand this Op-Ed is not about the right or wrong of the cultural changes being forced on all the services but the method of implementing them.

However I thought it was a officers duty to sound off when he/she observe individuals or groups advocating cultural activity detrimental to the good moral standing of the force.

Just sounding off here
