Chinese outward foreign direct investment (ODI) stock in the Caribbean totaled $62.1 billion in 2012, the latest year for which data are available. All but $282 million of this ODI was destined for the tax havens of the British Virgin Islands and Cayman Islands, which likely were not the final destinations for the vast majority of those investments
