Ben Carson calls poverty ‘a state of mind’ during interview

Star Parker says

“”Dr. Ben Carson gave an interview yesterday where he said poverty to “a large extent is also a state of mind.”

I agree with Dr. Carson! Imagine how different my life would be if I did not give up welfare. And I did it without a safety net. I put my trust in God and in myself because what Dr. Carson said is true.

In the interview, Carson said a defeatist attitude prevents people from escaping poverty. “If you don’t have that defeatist attitude, there’s hope for you,” he added. More Americans need to hear this!

But you can imagine how the media twists his words. They’re still doing it right now as I type this on MSNBC, BET and CNN. As the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, Carson has a tremendous opportunity to reshape the way government works in poor communities — communities that leftist elitists think they own and will not give up their grip without a fight.

To help Americans escape from the poverty plantation, we must change the hearts and minds of more Americans so they can learn about Dr. Carson’s story of hope, my triumph over the government plantation, and the stories of many more who love our country and want to protect liberty.””

I agree with Star Parker
