I get really tired of all the Democrats whining that our Voter ID law was some type of nefarious Republican plot that was intended solely to suppress the votes of minorities and the elderly. Nothing is said about suppressing the votes of those who are actually ineligible TO vote in a particular election. The Democrats constantly complain that there are SOOOO many people in these categories who don’t even have a photo ID, and that it would place such a tremendous burden on them to get one. “Burdensome”…such BS! (Even the SCOTUS has said that it does not impose an undue burden to require a photo ID for voting.) My first thought was “How in the hell do these people manage to get along WITHOUT a photo ID these days?” It seems that one is required for just about any business transaction that involves a check or a credit card, travel by air, or to pick up a prescription drug.
Eric Holder is constantly trying to “mess with Texas” (and with the other states that have passed similar ID legislation) in any way that they can conjure up. It’s all designed to delay any implementation until after the November election. They lie and fear monger to their core constituency to avoid talking about the abject failures of this administration…the $15.6 trillion debt, the $1+ trillion deficits every year that Obama’s been in office, the failure to create a budget, as required by law, all of the inept, unvetted and unconfirmed czars that have bloated the federal bureaucracy, the union bailouts at Chrysler and GM, the scandals, the non-stimulating stimuli legislation, “cap-n-tax,” an unpopular (and likely unconstitutional) mandate on individuals (except Congress, federal employees and about 1,400 other groups of favored supporters who got waivers) to purchase government -approved health insurance, and all of the “green energy” companies that were supposed to be the future of American energy production that went bankrupt, all he was while killing the American coal industry an crippling oil and natural gas production to raise the price of fuel towards levels seen in Europe.
And finally, the Dems say that we don’t need voter ID because there’ so few cases of fraud. Well, here’s a story from the president’s own neighborhood:
A moral victory over the IRS?
